UK invoice requirements
- Your business name and address; your VAT number if registered
- Invoice number and date; payment due date
- Customer name and address
- Items with quantity, unit price and the VAT rate applied
- VAT amount and total due in GBP
Sole traders who are not VAT registered simply leave the VAT number empty and set the rate to 0%.
